Welcome to the at risk youth foundation
The At Risk Youth Foundation was founded in 2010 by two California Highway Patrol officers in Redwood City and one deputy coroner investigator with San Mateo County, who were fed up seeing tragic impacts of poor choices by our youth. Since there is only so much time in life and time is what we make of it, the Foundation was created to make a difference by either influencing those choices before they are made or softening the impact for those youth already involved in the tragedy.
TARYF assists local high schools and partners with local agencies to conduct Every 15 Minutes, a nationwide drinking and driving educational program for school-aged youth by staging a mock DUI collision. We also partner with local agencies to provide teddy bears to children on the scene of, or involved in, tragic incidents.
The At Risk Youth Foundation now consists of numerous volunteers, board members and the three original founders, who volunteer their time as well.
